Testing Program
Fair housing testing is a controlled method for measuring and documenting variations in the quality, quantity and content of information and services offered or given to various home seekers by housing or housing service providers. The testing process has been confirmed by the U.S. Supreme Court as an important and valid fair housing investigation tool. The Court concluded that a tester’s lack of intent to rent or purchase a dwelling—and the possibility that a housing provider may recognize the individual as a tester—does not extinguish the tester’s statutory right to receive truthful, non‑discriminatory information.
Donate
Metro receives funding from federal, national, and local jurisdictions, but these resources are rapidly declining. To sustain our mission, we welcome monetary and in‑kind contributions from those who support equitable, discrimination‑free access to well‑resourced communities.
